Mass General Brigham seeks a Patient Care Assistant for two units on a rotating 7am-7pm and 7pm-7am schedule. The role requires assisting with patient care, documentation, and collaboration with RNs and physicians. The position is onsite at 273 Charles Street with rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma, BLS, CMA or CNA certification, and 0-1 year of patient care experience. The unit emphasizes pulmonary/general medicine care and safety.

Qualifikationen

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.

• Licenses: BLS; Certified Medical Assistant; Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Technician
• Experience: 0-1 year preferred
• Knowledge: medical terminology; strong patient/customer service; lifting up to 35 pounds; EMR proficiency

Aufgaben

• Performs patient care-related duties including vital signs, EKGs, bathing, ambulation assistance, 1:1 observation, phlebotomy.
• Documents intake, fluids/food, output, and glucose in the EHR.
• Assists with meals and feeding as needed.
• Ensures rooms are stocked, clean, and equipment is available.
• Sets up equipment, cleans between uses, and reports malfunctions.
• Assists with admitting and discharging patients.
• Mentors new PCA team members as directed.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and care team.
• Contributes to a positive, collaborative team environment.
