Job summary

UPMC McKeesport is hiring a full-time Patient Care Technician on the 3 M Acute Care Unit. This position requires rotating weekend and holiday shifts to support nursing staff and patient care.

Responsibilities include assisting with patient procedures, activities of daily living, and basic therapies. You will report patient status changes to the RN, perform core nursing assistant tasks such as vital signs and specimen collection, and participate in unit activities while maintaining safety and

Qualifications

• Assist with patient procedures and activities of daily living.
• Perform nursing tasks including blood glucose, weights, vital signs, I&O, specimen collections, and Foley care.
• Provide feedback to the RN and report changes in patient status.
• May perform advanced skills such as phlebotomy and 12-lead EKG when required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient procedures and activities of daily living.
• Provide physical, respiratory, and cardiopulmonary therapies as directed.
• Communicate changes in patient status to the RN and document observations.
• Perform core nursing assistant responsibilities (blood glucose, weights, vital signs, I&O, specimens, Foley care).
• Contribute to universal unit activities and respond to call lights and patient needs.
