Job summary

Holy Cross Health in Germantown, MD, is seeking a Registered Nurse for Acute Care Overflow on a full-time rotating shift. The role focuses on critical care support within ICU/IMC, requiring swift decision-making and collaboration with the ICU team.

You will assess patients, manage care plans, monitor vitals, administer IV fluids and meds, and ensure equipment is functioning properly. A BSN/ MSN is preferred; Maryland RN licensure and BLS are required; 1 year acute care experience is expected.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• Current RN licensure in Maryland or Compact State.
• BSN or MSN preferred; if not present, plan to obtain within set time frame.
• At least 1 year of acute care nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Assessing patients' conditions and designing care plans.
• Observing and recording patient vital signs.
• Administering intravenous fluids and medications.
• Ensuring ventilators and monitors function properly.
• Ordering diagnostic tests.
• Collaborating with the care team.
• Applying nursing protocols in life‑saving situations.
