Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic's Holy Cross Health in Silver Spring, MD seeks a Graduate Nurse/Registered Nurse for the Acute IMC Unit. This full-time role involves 36 hours weekly on a rotating schedule with weekend and holiday rotation.

You will provide bedside care, administer medications, educate patients and families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a high-acuity setting. The unit emphasizes telemetry monitoring and potential ventilator support, with on-site nurse educators

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• At least 1 year of nursing experience in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support patient-centered continuum of care.
• Communicate variances from patient goals and advocate on behalf of patient.
• Maintain accurate and timely healthcare records.
• Administer medications to patients, provide education and monitor for efficacy and side effects.
• Assess, monitor, report and record patient condition and pertinent changes.
• Design, implement and evaluate patient nursing care plans with healthcare team.
• Educate patients and family throughout stay and in preparation for discharge.
