Job summary

Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic in Germantown, MD is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Acute Care Overflow unit. This full-time, rotating-shift role focuses on critical care tasks in a fast-paced environment, requiring sound clinical judgment and teamwork.

You’ll assess patients, administer IV fluids and medications, monitor monitors and ventilators, and collaborate with the ICU/IMC team. Requires BSN or MSN preferred, current Maryland RN licensure, BLS, and at least 1 year acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program; BSN or MSN degree preferred.
• Current Maryland State Board of Nursing licensure or compact state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• At least 1 year of nursing experience in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' conditions and design and implement their care plans.
• Observe and record patient vital signs.
• Administer intravenous fluids and medications.
• Ensure that ventilators and monitors function properly.
• Order diagnostic tests and collaborate with other team members.
• Apply nursing protocols to life-saving situations.
