Job summary

Providence is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate, plan, direct and administer medically prescribed rehab programs at St Mary Medical Center-Apple Valley to restore function after disease or injury. You’ll help patients reach maximum independence and may assume supervisor duties in the absence of a supervisor.

Requirements include California OT license, AOTA training, and BLS. Experience in acute care, SNF, outpatient or subacute settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AOTA-accredited OT program.
• Environmental orientation within 30 days of hire.
• California OT license upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• Experience in acute [care], SNF, outpatient or subacute settings.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, plans, directs and administers occupational therapy programs to restore function.
• Assists patients to reach maximum performance and social participation.
• Performs administrative duties and participates in performance improvement, infection control and safety education.
• May orient staff/students and assume supervisor duties in absence of the supervisor.

Education

Graduate of the American Occupational Therapy Association training program.

Environmental orientation within 30 days of hire.
