Job summary

Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, CA is seeking an Acute Care Occupational Therapist for a full-time day shift.

You will evaluate, plan, direct and administer medically prescribed OT programs to restore function and prevent disability after disease or injury. You will also perform administrative duties, participate in performance improvement, infection control and education programs, and may supervise staff and students while supporting the hospital's patient-focused care

Qualifications

• Required Qualifications include graduation from an American Occupational Therapy Association accredited program.
• License: California Occupational Therapist License upon hire.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association upon hire.
• Experience in acute care, skilled nursing facility, outpatient, and/or subacute care settings.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan, direct and administer medically prescribed OT programs to restore function and prevent disability.
• Assist patients to reach maximum performance and societal participation.
• Perform administrative duties and participate in department performance improvement, infection control, safety and education programs.
• May supervise Occupational Therapist Assistants and orient staff and students.
