Job summary

Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, CA is seeking an Acute Care Occupational Therapist for a Full Time role. The position involves 8-hour day shifts within a hospital setting.

The OT will evaluate and direct medically prescribed therapy, helping patients regain function and adapt to daily life while contributing to unit performance, infection control, and education initiatives. A California OT license and BLS are required on hire.

Qualifications

• Experience in acute care, skilled nursing facility, outpatient, and/or subacute care settings.
• Graduate of the American Occupational Therapy Association training program.
• California OT license required on hire.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association required on hire.
• Environmental orientation within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, plans, directs and administers medically prescribed occupational therapy programs in the hospital.
• Assists patients to reach maximum performance and adapt to daily living within their capacities.
• Performs administrative duties and participates in department improvement, infection control, safety and education programs.
• May orient staff and students and assume supervisor duties in the absence of the supervisor.

Acute Care Occupational Therapist at Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, CA. This position is Full Time and will work 8-hour, Day shifts.

Evaluates, plans, directs and administers medically prescribed occupational therapy programs in the hospital to restore function and prevent disability following disease, injury or loss of body part. Assists patient to reach his/her maximum performance and assume a place in society while learning to live within the limits of his/her capacities. Performs administrative duties and participates in department Performance improvement, Infection control, and safety and education programs. The staff Occupational Therapist also assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of those patients being treated by Occupational Therapist Assistants and may be assigned to orient staff and students and to assume the duties and responsibilities of the supervisor in the absence of that individual.

Required Qualifications

• Coursework/Training: Graduate of the American Occupational Therapy Association training program.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Pay Range: $48.79 - $75.74
