Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support professional care teams across Orange and Irvine campuses. You will perform vital signs, assist with hygiene, and help maintain a clean, safe unit environment.

Responsibilities include stocking, operating equipment, and completing clerical tasks, with shifts that may include nights, weekends, and holidays. CNA/LVN or 1 clinical semester in a nursing program is required with a current BLS.

Qualifications

• Basic medical terminology knowledge and effective communication skills.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English clearly.
• Certified Nursing Assistant or LVN, or enrolled in a nursing program with at least one clinical semester.
• Current BLS certification prior to hire.
• Ability to float between Orange and Irvine campuses.
• Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs and monitor patient conditions.
• Assist patients with hygiene and elimination needs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized unit environment.
• Stock unit supplies and operate hospital equipment as directed.
• Perform routine clerical tasks and assist with other duties as assigned.
• Communicate effectively with patients and care teams.
