Job summary

Dignity Health Arroyo Grande Community Hospital is seeking a House Supervisor to orchestrate care and empower frontline nursing teams. You will drive patient experiences, guide staff growth, and advocate for nurses while ensuring departmental objectives and patient outcomes are achieved.

You will lead 1:1 interactions with physicians and families, navigate challenging conversations, and maintain accountability with strong communication across care teams.

Qualifications

• Associates of Nursing
• Minimum of three (3) years acute experience as a Registered nurse within the last six (6) years
• Minimum of one (1) year of leadership experience
• Registered Nurse: Current CA RN License
• Basic Life Support - CPR BLS

Responsibilities

• Organizes and oversees patient care delivery during an assigned shift.
• Monitors and assesses current environment for smooth hospital operations.
• Assesses and allocates resources as needed.
• Provides input to employee performance. Assists in the coaching of staff members.
• Documents daily staffing and administrative records and maintains compliance with governmental policies and procedures. Presents documentation to senior staff.
• Provides nursing care to patients on an as needed basis. Maintains communication to patient and family members regarding care needed.
