Job summary

Dignity Health's Arroyo Grande Community Hospital seeks a House Supervisor to orchestrate care, empower nursing teams, and drive operational excellence. You’ll engage with patient care needs, guide team growth, and advocate for nurses to reach their full potential.

You will lead 1:1 conversations with physicians and families, ensuring effective communication and optimal patient outcomes while maintaining accountability and leadership across shifts.

Qualifications

• Associates of Nursing
• Minimum of three (3) years acute experience as a Registered nurse within the last six (6) years
• Minimum of one (1) year of leadership experience
• Registered Nurse: Current CA RN License
• Basic Life Support - CPR BLS

Responsibilities

• Organizes and oversees patient care delivery during an assigned shift.
• Monitors and assesses current environment for smooth hospital operations.
• Assesses and allocates resources as needed.
• Provides input to employee performance. Assists in the coaching of staff members.
• Documents daily staffing and administrative records and maintains compliance with governmental policies and procedures. Presents documentation to senior staff.
• Provides nursing care to patients on an as needed basis. Maintains communication to patient and family members regarding care needed.
