Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for specialty care. The NP will provide direct patient care, exercise prescriptive authority, and work within specialty clinics such as nephrology or cardiology. The role involves inpatient/outpatient responsibilities and collaboration with physicians.

Must be an Acute Care Certified NP with TX license. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available for external candidates, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• NP license required in Texas
• APRn certification for patient population focus
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire
• Experience in inpatient/outpatient settings preferred
• Acute care certification required

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and take medical histories.
• Order and interpret lab tests and diagnostics.
• Prescribe medications and treatments per protocol.
• Develop and adjust treatment plans with supervising physicians.
• Counsel patients and families on disease management and prevention.
• Maintain accurate medical records and care coordination.
