Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health seeks an AGACNP-certified Nurse Practitioner with Texas APRN licensure to deliver direct patient care in our specialty clinics. You will assess patients, order and interpret diagnostics, prescribe therapies, and collaborate with physicians to implement evidence-based treatment plans.

Important duties include counseling patients and families, maintaining detailed records, and performing specialty procedures as delegated. BLS certification within 30 days is required.

Qualifications

• Texas RN license or RN with compact privilege and Texas APRN license
• AGACNP certification required
• CurrentBasic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire
• ACUTE CARE experience as an Advanced Provider (1 year)

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive or problem-focused physical exams and histories
• Order, interpret, and evaluate labs and tests to guide care
• Prescribe or recommend medications and therapies per protocol
• Develop and implement treatment plans with physician collaboration
• Counsel patients and families on care, medications, nutrition, and health promotion
• Document treatment plans and outcomes in medical records
• Provide consultation in provider's specialty and manage care in relevant settings
• Performs procedures within scope of practice as delegated by supervising physician
