Job summary

St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Enid, OK is seeking a dedicated LPN to provide high-quality patient care in a collaborative team. The role works under a registered nurse to implement and evaluate nursing care across patient assignments.

Candidates must graduate from an accredited LPN program, hold an Oklahoma LPN license, have current BLS, venipuncture skills, and be willing to complete SECURE de-escalation training within six months. Prior acute care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
• Current Oklahoma LPN license.
• BLS certification required upon hire.
• Venipuncture skills required.
• One year of acute care experience (full-time) or three years (part-time) preferred.
• De-escalation training (SECURE) within 6 months of hire.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs functions of LPN in implementing and evaluating nursing care for all assigned patient care in collaboration with a RN.
• Practices nursing in accordance with established standard of practice, policies and procedures.
• Participates in the modification of the plan of care by collaborating with other members of the multidisciplinary team with consideration of the developmental needs of the patient.
• Participates in the evaluation of the patient's response to interventions based upon predicted outcome
• Reassesses the patient as defined in the Nursing Standards of Care Policy and modifies the plan of care as needed.
• Contributes to the assessment of the patient by conducting focused assessments of the patient.
• Collects data and compares the data collected to the patient's previous condition and documents/reports as appropriate.
