Osceola Medical Center is seeking an ED Registered Nurse to deliver nursing care through the patient care process in a fast-paced setting. You will lead by example and collaborate with ancillary, nursing, and support staff to maintain high standards of practice in acute care.

The role requires current WI RN licensure, 2+ years RN experience with preference for ED, and active certifications (BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP/TNCC) or commitment to obtain within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing with current WI RN licensure in good standing.
• Minimum of two years RN experience (or equivalent) required.
• Minimum of one year ED experience preferred.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and TNCC (or similar trauma certification) or willing to obtain within 6 months of employment.
• Meets OMC health requirements.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct nursing care in assigned departments based on staffing needs, patient acuity, and demonstrated competencies.
• Float between designated clinical areas including Med/Surg, ED, and OB as trained and qualified.
• Assist with staffing shortages related to sick calls PTO unexpected vacancies and increased patient care demands.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, administer medications and treatments, and document care accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Respond to changes in patient condition, initiate appropriate interventions, and communicate promptly with the healthcare team.
• Support admissions, discharges, transfers, and patient throughput.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership, initiative supervisor to prioritize assignments and respond to changing organizational needs.
• Maintain required competencies, certifications and knowledge specific to the assigned clinical departments.
• Follow OMC policies, evidence-based standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Continually strives to meet and exceed customer service standards in all interactions with customers (patients, visitors, other hospital employees, and medical staff).
• Communicates patient status and plan of care with patient and their family.
• Attends staff meetings and mandatory education.
• Maintains appropriate licenses and certifications independently.
