Job summary

Osceola Medical Center is seeking an ED/acute care Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care through the nursing process. You will lead with teamwork and coordinate with ancillary staff to maintain professional standards.

The role requires RN licensure in Wisconsin, 2+ years of RN experience (ED preferred), and willingness to obtain certifications within 6 months. This is a full-time position in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program with current WI RN licensure.
• Minimum of two years RN experience.
• Minimum of one year ED experience preferred.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and TNCC or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
• Meets OMC health requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in assigned departments based on staffing needs and patient acuity.
• Float between Med/Surg, ED, and OB as trained.
• Assist with staffing shortages due to sick calls, PTO, vacancies.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and document care in EMR.
• Respond to changes in patient condition and communicate with the healthcare team.
• Support admissions, discharges, transfers, and patient throughput.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership to prioritize assignments.
• Maintain required competencies for assigned departments.
• Follow policies, regulations, and HIPAA; provide age-appropriate care.
