Job summary

Osceola Medical Center in Osceola, WI, is seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse to deliver patient care through the nursing process in a fast-paced acute care setting. The ED RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, supervise other nursing staff as needed, and participate in interdisciplinary teamwork to maintain standards.

Schedule is 6p-6a. Candidates should have WI RN licensure, at least two years of RN experience with ED experience preferred, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS;

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with WI RN licensure in good standing.
• Minimum of two years RN experience (or equivalent) required.
• Minimum of one year ED experience preferred.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and TNCC or willing to obtain within 6 months of employment.
• Meets OMC health requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in assigned departments based on staffing needs and patient acuity.
• Float between designated clinical areas including Med/Surg, ED, and OB as trained and qualified.
• Assist with staffing shortages related to sick calls, PTO, and vacancies.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, administer meds and treatments, document in EMR.
• Respond to changes in patient condition and communicate promptly with the team.
• Support admissions, discharges, transfers and patient throughput.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership to prioritize assignments and adapt to needs.
• Maintain required competencies and meet regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to patient-focused care and uphold HIPAA/privacy standards.
