Job summary

Advocate Health’s Wisconsin Float Pool seeks an experienced ED RN to provide flexible, high-quality nursing care across multiple hospitals and units. The role emphasizes adaptability, collaboration, and delivering patient-centered care in a dynamic ED setting.

The position requires completing an accredited nursing program, holding a current RN license, and BLS; ACLS, PALS, and TNCC are required. 2+ years of ED RN experience and self-scheduling are expected.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
• Additional Certification: ACLS, PALS, TNCC.
• Minimum 2 years of ED RN experience.
• Weekend requirement: 1 weekend shift per 2 schedule period.
• Holiday requirement: 1 holiday per year.
• Self-scheduled shift arrangements.
• Minimum 12 hours per scheduled period across 4-, 8-, or 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, therapeutic, evidence-based nursing care.
• Float to multiple care environments within designated zones.
• Lead efforts to ensure safest patient environment and experience.
• Coordinate care for diverse patient populations across units and settings.
• Maintain competency to practice in all acute-care facilities within the zone.
