Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Principal Actuation Systems Leader in Massachusetts to drive complex actuation and motion control projects. You will lead design, test and production support across power conversion and control system domains, collaborating with electrical, mechanical, software and firmware teams.

The role demands expert SME-level knowledge, team leadership, and a track record in developing scalable actuation solutions for high-load, high-rate systems.

Qualifications

• STEM degree with 10+ years of experience; or an advanced degree with 7+ years.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with actuation systems or motion control.
• Expertise in actuation system design, testing, and production support across product lifecycles.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex actuation systems tasks with limited oversight.
• Mentor teammates and drive strategic vision for Radar Power and Digital orgs.
• Develop technical solutions for high-performance actuation and motion control challenges.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including electrical, mechanical, software and firmware engineering.
• Support and drive execution of product development projects from concept to production.
