Job summary

AXA XL, the P&C and specialty risk division of AXA, seeks an Actuary for Regulatory in the US to support state filings and adverse event responses. You will collaborate with regulators, actuaries, and business units to deliver timely submissions, analyze industry trends, and update loss cost multipliers for multiple lines of business.

Required: Bachelor’s degree with actuarial progress; strong data analysis, communication skills, and experience with workers compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; nearly or recently qualified Actuary.
• Significant experience with property & casualty lines, especially workers compensation.
• Ability to think strategically and manage filing timelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to internal/external clients.

Responsibilities

• Work with Regulatory Compliance Team to facilitate state approvals for bureau adoptions and new product filings.
• Coordinate with Business Unit Actuaries to meet filing and objection timelines.
• Provide data and exhibits for filings to Insurance Departments; draft responses to objections.
• Provide impact analysis of industry loss cost changes on AXA’s book of business.
• Produce ratemaking indications for multiple lines of business to assess rate needs.
• Monitor industry trends and development patterns; conduct Loss Cost Multiplier reviews.
