Job summary

AXA XL is seeking a qualified or near qualified actuary to lead pricing and portfolio analysis for its NA Programs business. You will collaborate with underwriting, reserving and capital modelling teams to deliver data-driven insights and maintain pricing consistency across the portfolio.

The role requires strong communication skills, actuarial accreditation interest, and experience with Excel. A reduced or near‑ACAS path is acceptable for the right candidate, with opportunities to influence

Qualifications

• Nearly or recently qualified actuary.
• Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Applied Math, Statistics, or related field.
• Significant experience using Excel.
• General pricing knowledge across product lines.
• Understanding of reserving methodologies and techniques.
• Detail oriented with appreciation for real-world data variances in Programs business.
• Strong spoken and written communication to engage internal/external clients.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a global team.

Responsibilities

• Support pricing, analytics, and profitability across NA programs.
• Assist with planning, rate monitoring, profitability assessment, and pricing metrics.
• Collaborate with Underwriting, Reserving and Capital Modelling teams.
• Communicate with AXA XL program partners, internally and externally.
• Monitor regulatory changes affecting pricing and portfolio analysis.
• Ensure pricing guideline compliance within the team.
• Provide regular reporting and ad-hoc analysis to underwriters.
• Support Head of Pricing, NA programs with data-driven insights.
