Job summary

WAHVE LLC is seeking experienced pricing actuaries to join a remote, long-term team and work from home. The role focuses on developing pricing models, analyzing datasets, and supporting underwriting and pricing strategies for Property & Casualty products.

Ideal candidates will bring extensive actuarial insurance experience, proficiency in predictive modeling and ML techniques, and a bachelor’s degree in a related field. Remote work offers flexible scheduling and company benefits.

Qualifications

• 25 years of full-time work experience.
• 10 most current years of actuarial insurance experience with significant pricing in P&C.
• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, economics, statistics, or related major.
• Proficiency in predictive modeling and machine learning techniques.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine pricing models to assess risk and profitability for various Property & Casualty insurance products.
• Monitor and analyze datasets of existing products, including experience and exposure rating, adjusting pricing models as needed.
• Collaborate with Underwriting, Finance, Reserving and Claims to support pricing and profitable growth strategies.
• Support the development and filing of rate changes with regulatory bodies.
• Possess ability to extract and manipulate data in relational databases: SAS, SQL, VBA, R, Prophet, VBA, Python or similar preferred.
