Job summary

Constellation is seeking an Actuarial Intern to gain hands-on experience in financial services. You will collaborate with teams across risk management, product management, and corporate actuarial reporting to work on real projects from day one.

Responsibilities include data analysis, modeling, documentation, tool development, and assisting in pricing-related tasks. The program emphasizes mentorship, skill development, and meaningful summer projects.

Qualifications

Pursuing a major in actuarial science or a related financial/mathematical field.
Completed at least one SOA exam.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word.
Ability to take initiative, work independently, meet deadlines, and interact professionally.

Responsibilities

Data Analysis: Conduct data manipulation, organization, and analysis to support decision-making.
Modeling: Run actuarial models, analyze outputs for accuracy, ensure consistency.
Documentation: Verify factors used in computations, document processes, and help automate reports and spreadsheets.
Tool Development: Create and refine calculation tools to support pricing and valuation efforts.
Specialized Tasks: Develop rate filings, in-force files, and experience study results; assist in determining premiums, benefits, and pricing levels.
Skill Development: Build analytical, technical, leadership, and communication skills; gain business and industry knowledge.
