Job summary

The Standard offers a summer internship program for aspiring actuaries, providing hands-on exposure to actuarial functions, product development, pricing, valuation, and reporting. Interns work with seasoned actuaries across the organization in a flexible environment that blends remote work with in-office opportunities.

Interns are full-time during the summer and will present their projects to actuarial leaders.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be enrolled as full-time students for the duration of the internship.
• Rising sophomores, juniors, seniors and students pursuing advanced degrees are welcome to apply.
• Preferred majors in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to the actuarial profession and the company's culture.
• Work with actuaries from across the organization.
• Assignments may include product development, pricing, valuation, and experience studies.
• Contribute to monthly and quarterly financial reporting and system testing.
