Job summary

Milliman in Tampa, FL is offering an actuarial internship to support data analysis, modeling, and cost analysis. This hybrid, full-time program is designed for students pursuing a Bachelor's in Actuarial Science or related fields, with planned graduation in 2027 or later.

You will review data, develop models under actuaries, and contribute to client deliverables while gaining mentoring and access to comprehensive benefits, including a housing stipend.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field
• Planned graduation in 2027 or later
• GPA 3.5 or above
• At least one actuarial exam passed
• Proficient in MS Excel; SAS and VBA programming knowledge a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good attitude and strong work ethic required

Responsibilities

• Review, organize and analyze statistical data
• Develop and utilize actuarial models
• Analyze healthcare costs and utilization data
• Implement software solutions under actuaries’ supervision
• Assist our Analysts and Consultants in the development, checking, and utilization of actuarial models
