Job summary

Trustmark Services Company offers a 10-week Actuarial Internship from June 7 to August 13, 2027. The program is hybrid, with three in-office days (Tue–Thu) and two days remote. Housing is provided for interns living beyond 30 miles of the Lake Forest office.

Interns will assist with pricing decisions, experience analyses, and reporting of financial results, under supervision. Minimum requirements include passing at least one SOA exam and a 3.0 GPA.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of at least one SOA exam.
• GPA of at least 3.0.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in winter or spring/summer following the program dates to be considered for the program.
• Experience in MS Office.
• Excellent mathematical aptitude/skills.
• Capable of working quickly and accurately; able to recognize and solve problems.
• Enjoys working individually and as part of a team.
• Ability to develop insights into how projects contribute to departmental goals, and the significance of each task.

Responsibilities

• Prepare actuarial reports under the direction of an actuary.
• Run programs to collect and summarize data in Excel to assist actuaries in studies.
• Assist actuary in analysis of products under responsibility.
• Participate as a team member in group and individual projects.
• Assist in review of quarterly and annual statements.
• Help with pricing, experience analysis and forecasting.
• Other duties as assigned.
