Job summary

Milliman is seeking a healthcare actuarial intern in Tampa for a hybrid role. You will review and analyze statistical data, develop models, and assess healthcare costs under supervision.

Ideal candidates are Actuarial Science majors graduating in 2027 or later, with a GPA of 3.5+, and at least one actuarial exam passed; strong Excel, SAS and VBA skills are desired for this internship.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field
• Planned graduation in 2027 or later
• GPA 3.5 or above
• At least one actuarial exam passed
• Proficient in MS Excel; SAS and VBA programming knowledge a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good attitude and strong work ethic required

Responsibilities

• Review, organize and analyze statistical data
• Develop and utilize actuarial models
• Analyze healthcare costs and utilization data
• Implement software solutions under actuaries' supervision
• Assist our Analysts and Consultants in the development, checking, and utilization of actuarial models
