American International Group, Inc. (AIG) is seeking an Actuarial Data & Tools - Lead Business Analyst to join the Data Office in New Jersey.

This role partners with actuarial and data teams to translate complex business needs into actionable data engineering specifications and product roadmap items. You will lead Agile ceremonies, manage the product backlog, ensure data governance, and drive sunset opportunities within the Global Data Warehouse.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in business analysis and actuarial tool design within the insurance/financial industry.
Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Mathematics, or related field.
Strong understanding of Commercial Insurance actuarial concepts (reserving, pricing tools).

Responsibilities

Lead deep, structured requirement sessions with senior actuaries to understand workflows, data nuances, and reporting needs, creating detailed functional specifications.
Facilitate alignment across actuaries and Data Office teams on project priorities, timelines, and deliverables.
Develop roadmaps for actuarial data and tool development and partner with data engineers to build and deploy them in a timely manner.
Lead Agile ceremonies and manage the product backlog.
Translate actuarial requirements into actionable user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria for developers.
Ensure data governance and maintain documentation for data lineage, testing, and production changes.
