American International Group, Inc. (AIG) is seeking a Business Data Analyst to identify BI needs and translate data into actionable insights. You will work with business and technical teams to define KPI, design dashboards, and document reports.

You’ll lead requirements gathering, participate in Agile ceremonies, and coach clients on data-driven decision making. The role emphasizes collaboration, analytical rigor, and hands-on data analysis to support risk management and business performance

Qualifications

• BA/BS Degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and progressive experience.
• 5+ years of Business Data Analyst experience.
• Excellent interpersonal & organizational skills with the ability to work independently, prioritize and manage multiple assignments.
• Strong critical thinking & problem-solving with ability to research complex data-oriented problems.
• Proactive and results-driven with a positive can-do attitude.
• Excels in a team environment (distributed).

Responsibilities

• Identify BI and data analysis needs and turn data into critical information for informed business decisions.
• Define KPIs, gather requirements, and support BI & Data Warehouse strategy.
• Collaborate with business and development teams to design dashboards, alerts, and reports.
• Lead projects, facilitate requirements gathering and present findings to management.
• Analyze functional business processes and drive user stories as part of an Agile Scrum team.
• Educate clients to use data as an analytical tool and provide content-focused insights.
