Job summary

Guardian Life is seeking an Actuarial Associate for the Actuarial Leadership Development Program (ALDP). You will rotate departments every 18-24 months, contributing to pricing analyses, rate development, and analytics. You will gain broad exposure across product, underwriting, finance, and distribution initiatives.

You are a self-starter with strong analytical skills, pursuing actuarial fellow designation, and able to communicate complex pricing concepts to diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a mathematics-based field is required.
• Actively pursuing Actuarial Fellow designation with SOA is required.
• Minimum 2 years of actuarial work experience required.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and actuarial Modeling/Data Visualization software.

Responsibilities

• Utilize internal/external data to understand industry trends, clients, competitors, and regulatory environment.
• Complete assignments on time with minimal supervision.
• Support rate development and state rate filings aligned to Group Finance Strategy.
• Provide actuarial support for pricing models and resulting rates across initiatives.
• Suggest and implement advanced techniques to modernize pricing approaches.
