Job summary

Elite Home Care Day Centers & Transportation is seeking an Activity/Member Assistant to work in Pickens, SC. The role supports the Activity Director by delivering engaging activities and providing ADL assistance to members in a compassionate, interactive setting.

The position is full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM with no weekends or holidays. Benefits include medical, dental, vision after 30 days, paid time off, and a friendly work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with elderly or disabled individuals preferred.
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activity Director in planning and implementing engaging activities.
• Provide hands-on personal care (ADL) including feeding, toileting, and dressing.
• Engage members to foster a positive, interactive environment.
• Set up and clean activity spaces ensuring safety and organization.
• Monitor changes in member health or behavior and report to RN Administrator.
• Maintain client confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Activity Director in planning and implementing engaging activities, including arts and crafts, music, games, and educational programs.
• Provide hands-on personal care (ADL assistance) to members, including feeding, toileting, and dressing.
• Foster a positive and interactive environment by engaging with members.
• Set up and clean activity areas to ensure a safe and organized space.
• Redirect behaviors as needed to promote a supportive atmosphere.
• Monitor and document any changes in client behavior or health, reporting to the RN Administrator.
• Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.

What We’re Looking For:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with elderly or disabled individuals (preferred but not required)
• Reliable transportation and/or a valid driver’s license
• CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Clean background check and drug test
• Physically able to assist members with personal care tasks
