Job summary

Elite Home Care, Day Centers & Transportation in Greer, SC, seeks an Activity/Member Assistant to engage elderly and young adults with activities, provide ADL support, and promote a friendly, safe environment.

Full-time role, weekday hours, with benefits after an initial period. CPR certification preferred, valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with elderly or disabled individuals (preferred but not required).
• Reliable transportation and/or a valid driver’s license.
• CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Clean background check and drug test.
• Physically able to assist members with personal care tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activity Director in planning and implementing engaging activities, including arts and crafts, music, games, and educational programs.
• Provide hands-on personal care (ADL assistance) to members, including feeding, toileting, and dressing.
• Foster a positive and interactive environment by engaging with members.
• Set up and clean activity areas to ensure a safe and organized space.
• Redirect behaviors as needed to promote a supportive atmosphere.
• Monitor and document any changes in client behavior or health, reporting to the RN Administrator.
• Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
