Job summary

Complete Care at Bey Lea Assisted Living is seeking an enthusiastic Activity Aide to enrich residents' daily lives through planned recreational, social, and therapeutic activities. You will support engagement, provide one-on-one assistance, and help maintain welcoming activity spaces within a caring team.

The role offers part-time hours (4p-7p) with Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, plus every-other-weekend commitment.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Previous activity aide or similar healthcare/long-term care experience preferred, but we are willing to train.
• Positive attitude with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Activities in coordinating daily recreational, social, and therapeutic programs.
• Encourage resident participation and provide one-on-one support during activities.
• Monitor resident engagement and communicate observations to the nursing team.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and activity documentation.
• Help decorate the facility for holidays, seasonal events, and celebrations.
• Prepare activity materials and keep spaces organized and inviting.
• Support community events and special programs for residents.

Activity Aide Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Previous experience as an Activity Aide or in a long-term care, healthcare, recreation, or customer service setting is preferred, but we are happy to train motivated candidates.

• Positive attitude with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Creative, dependable, organized, and able to work well as part of a team.

• Basic computer skills required.

Activity Aide Responsibilities:

• Assist the Director of Activities in coordinating and leading daily recreational, social, and therapeutic programs.

• Encourage resident participation and provide one-on-one support during activities as needed.

• Monitor resident engagement and communicate observations to the nursing team when appropriate.

• Maintain accurate attendance records and activity documentation.

• Help decorate Complete Care at Court House for holidays, seasonal events, and special celebrations.

• Prepare activity materials and ensure activity spaces remain organized and inviting.

• Support community events and special programs that enhance the resident experience.

• Perform additional duties assigned by the Director of Activities or Administrator.
