Job summary

Complete Care is looking for a friendly, compassionate Activity Aide to plan and lead recreational activities, social events, and one-on-one engagements with seniors. You will work with the Director of Activities and nursing staff to promote socialization, independence, and quality of life.

No long-term care experience required; the right attitude and creativity matter. We offer full-time and part-time roles, flexible pay options, and a supportive, mission-driven team at our Matawan location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with seniors is a plus, but not required.
• Previous experience in activities, recreation, hospitality, customer service, education, or healthcare is a plus.
• Creative, outgoing, dependable, and compassionate personality.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Patience, flexibility, and enthusiasm.
• A genuine interest in working with and supporting older adults.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and leading recreational and therapeutic activities.
• Lead and assist with group activities, games, entertainment, crafts, and special events.
• Provide meaningful one-on-one engagement for residents.
• Encourage residents to participate while respecting individual interests and abilities.
• Help create a fun, welcoming, and inclusive environment.
• Monitor resident participation and report concerns to the appropriate team members.
• Maintain accurate activity attendance and participation records.
• Help decorate the community for holidays, seasons, and special events.
• Work closely with the Director of Activities, nursing team, and other staff.
• Support activities that promote resident socialization, engagement, and quality of life.
