Job summary

Prairie Manor Nursing and Rehab in Illinois is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Activity Aide to enrich residents' daily living through engaging programs. You will help create a vibrant, social environment and support residents in meaningful activities.

As part of the team, you will facilitate group and individual activities, document participation, assist in planning calendars, and encourage Resident Council involvement, while upholding facility policies and a respectful, inclusive

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a social or recreational program in a healthcare setting.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and compassion for residents.
• Ability to facilitate group and individual activities.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate ongoing group and individual activity programs based on residents’ needs, interests, and abilities, as identified in assessments and care plans.
• Complete required record-keeping upon resident admission, discharge, and transfer; chart and document per facility policy.
• Assist in creating the activity calendar and coordinating events.
• Follow and maintain established policies and procedures.
• Encourage resident participation in Resident Council and schedule monthly meetings.

Activity Aide Requirements:

• 1 - 2 years of experience in a social or recreational program in a healthcare setting (preferred).
