Job summary

Prairie Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking an enthusiastic Activity Aide to enhance daily living for residents through engaging activities. You will work with staff and residents to deliver meaningful programs that promote social interaction and well-being.

The role emphasizes creating enjoyable, inclusive activities, documenting care plans, and supporting resident participation in council activities. Full-time employment with a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a social or recreational program in a healthcare setting (preferred).
• Ability to facilitate ongoing group and individual activity programs based on residents' needs.
• Strong record-keeping and documentation in line with facility policy.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate ongoing group and individual activity programs based on residents’ needs, interests, and abilities.
• Complete required record-keeping upon resident admission, discharge, and transfer; chart and document per facility policy.
• Assist in creating the activity calendar and coordinating events.
• Follow and maintain established policies and procedures.
• Encourage resident participation in Resident Council and schedule monthly meetings.

Activity Aide Requirements:
