Capstone Center is looking for a full-time activity aide! , they help develop and share a variety of interactive and enjoyable programs to foster mental and physical health while boosting moral and activity.
Run daily group programs like bingo, music hours, exercise classes, and arts and crafts.
Transport Residents: Help residents get to and from the activity room safely using wheelchairs or walkers.
Setup and Cleanup: Arrange chairs, tables, and equipment before events begin and pack them away afterward.
Track Attendance: Keep daily records of who joins each event to measure resident participation.
Provide One-on-One Visits: Spend time with roombound residents to offer conversation and personal engagement.
Report Changes: Notice changes in a resident's mood or behavior and share updates with the nursing staff.
Preferred experience in a long-term care facility.
Interpersonal Skills: A warm, patient, and energetic attitude when working with older adults.
