Job summary

Alta Vista Senior Living in Vista, CA is seeking an Activities Assistant to brighten residents' days through engaging leisure activities inside and outside the community.

You will support planning and leading events, coordinate group activities, and help with decorating for holidays. The role emphasizes compassion, organization, and energy while ensuring residents' spiritual, cultural, physical, intellectual, and social needs are met.

Qualifications

• Experience working with seniors, including dementia, is preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• First Aid certification is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Support the mission, vision, and culture of the organization

• Promote residents' attendance at events and activities
• Assist with planning and implementing events and activities
• Assist with group activities, sing-alongs, and exercise classes
• Conduct activity programs as assigned

• Great organization, planning, and engaging/re-directing seniors
• Great energy and kindness
• Operate a VCR, DVD, and stereo system.
• High School diploma or equivalent certificate
• Must possess valid First Aid Certification
• Drivers license is a plus
