Job summary

Newport Mesa Senior Living in Costa Mesa, CA, seeks an Activities Assistant to meet the spiritual, cultural, physical, intellectual, and social needs of residents. You will support the mission, assist with planning events, lead group activities, and help decorate for celebrations.

The ideal candidate has experience with seniors (including dementia), strong organizational skills, energy, and kindness. A High School diploma and First Aid certification are required.

Skills

• Experience in activities with seniors who have dementia or in a senior retirement community
• Great organization, planning, and engaging/re-directing seniors

• Operate a VCR, DVD, and stereo system.
• High School diploma or equivalent certificate
• Must possess valid First Aid Certification
