Kenmore Senior Living is seeking a Part-time Activities Assistant to join our team and enrich the lives of our residents through engaging activities. You’ll support residents’ spiritual, cultural, physical, intellectual, and social needs both inside and outside our community.

The ideal candidate has assisted living experience, strong organizational skills, warmth, and the ability to operate basic AV equipment.

Qualifications

  • Must have experience in activities with seniors in a senior retirement community or similar environment.
  • Great organization, planning, and engaging/re-directing seniors.
  • Great energy and kindness.
  • Must possess valid First Aid Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Support the mission, vision, and culture of the organization.
  • Perform activities on schedule while maintaining regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Promote resident’s attendance at events and activities
  • Assist with planning and implementing events and activities.
  • Assist with group activities, sing-a-longs, and exercise classes
  • Conduct activity programs as assigned.
  • Assist residents with gardening projects.
  • Assist with decorations for holidays and special occasions.

Come help The Activities Director meet the spiritual, cultural, physical, intellectual, and social needs of our residents both inside and outside the community.

Requirements:

  • MUST have assisted living experience

Essential Functions:

  • Support the mission, vision, and culture of the organization.
  • Perform activities on schedule while maintaining regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Promote resident’s attendance at events and activities
  • Assist with planning and implementing events and activities.
  • Assist with group activities, sing-a-longs, and exercise classes
  • Conduct activity programs as assigned.
  • Assist residents with gardening projects.
  • Assist with decorations for holidays and special occasions.

Skills:

  • Must have experience in activities with seniors in a senior retirement community or similar environment

  • Operate a VCR, DVD, and stereo system.
  • High School diploma or equivalent certificate

Work Schedule:

  • Weekends
  • Part-time schedule
