Job summary

Jackson Manor Healthcare in Missouri is seeking a compassionate Activities Assistant for part-time shifts to support our senior residents. The role involves planning and leading floor activities, preparing snacks, and assisting residents with mobility and dining in a safe, caring environment.

You will maintain logs, coordinate with teammates, and participate in monthly events. Flexible evenings, weekends, and holidays are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 500 hours of experience in activity programming preferred.
• 6 college credits in NCCAP preferred.
• Certification as Occupational Therapy Assistant or NCCAP Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and implement floor activities per center activity schedule.
• Plan monthly calendar ideas to organize special floor activities.
• Prepare snacks with residents.
• Set up the dining room tables for activities.
• Clean up after activities.
• Complete required logs and charting.
• Keep all activity areas clean, safe and free from clutter.
• Assist residents to and from common areas as stated by their care plan.
• Assist other departments with residents as needed and required.
• Weekends, holidays and evenings required.

Essential Functions of Activities Assistant:

• Complete required logs and charting
• Keeping all activity areas clean, safe and free from clutter
• Assist residents to and from common areas as stated by their care plan
• Assist other departments with residents as needed and required
• Weekends, holidays and evenings required

Qualifications of Activities Assistant:

• High School Diploma or general equivalency is required
• 6 college credits in applicable study as required by NCCAP is preferred
• 500 hours of experience in activity programming is preferred
• Certification as Occupational Therapy Assistant or NCCAP Certification is preferred
• Candidates must maintain a working email address and phone number for employer communication.
