Schedule:
  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Alternating weekends

General Purpose:

Plan, organize, and direct activity programs that provide entertainment, exercise, relaxation, and expression, fulfilling residents' psychological, social, and spiritual needs. Assist residents with physical, emotional, and cognitive impairments to explore appropriate leisure pursuits.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience in a resident activities program in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Willingness to complete a state-approved training course within six months if not already completed
  • Excellent creative and communication skills
  • Ability to work with individuals with disabilities
  • Practical knowledge of activity department functions in a nursing facility
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements for activity programs in long-term care
  • High energy and enthusiasm with strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience organizing volunteer programs
  • Ability to develop and implement detailed programs and documentation
  • Genuine caring for elderly and disabled individuals
  • Compliance with Resident Rights and Facility Policies
  • Ability to perform physical tasks as required
