Job Title: Activities Assistant in Adult Day Services

Status: Part Time Days

Schedule: Varied hours, 10-15 hours per week

Salary Range: Starting at $15.00/hour

Role Responsibilities

• Facilitate group and one-on-one activities as delegated by the Program Coordinator or Director.
• Contribute creative ideas for activities.
• Ensure high standards of care for individuals with cognitive impairments related to activities and overall care.
• Assist with personal care tasks such as toileting, bathing, dressing, fingernail care, and daily living activities.
• Support clients with transfers, ambulation, and effective communication with staff.
• Complete necessary documentation per regulatory requirements.
• Escort clients to activities, orient new clients, and serve meals/snacks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1+ years experience in healthcare or social services.
• Ability and desire to work with older adults with cognitive impairments.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Willingness to complete First Aid and CPR certification after hire.
