Job summary

Sherbrooke Village seeks a compassionate Activities Assistant to coordinate and lead engaging programs for residents. You will plan monthly activities, prepare snacks, and assist with dining setups, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for seniors.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, NCCAP credentials preferred, and experience in activity programming. Missouri CNA license is a plus; strong communication and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 NCCAP college credits preferred.
• 500 hours of activity programming experience preferred.
• NCCAP or OTA certification preferred.
• Maintain a working email address and phone number for employer communication.
• Willing or have CNA license for Missouri.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, pre-plan and implement floor activities based on center activity schedule.
• Plan monthly calendar ideas to organize special floor activities.
• Prepare special snacks with residents.
• Set up dining room tables for activities.
• Clean up after all activities.
• Complete required logs and charting.
• Keep activity areas clean, safe and clutter-free.
• Assist residents to and from common areas as stated by their care plan.
• Assist other departments with residents as needed and required.
• Weekends, holidays and evenings required.

Qualifications of Activities Assistant:

• High School Diploma or general equivalency is required
• 6 college credits in applicable study as required by NCCAP is preferred
• 500 hours of experience in activity programming is preferred
• Certification as Occupational Therapy Assistant or NCCAP Certification is preferred
• Candidates must maintain a working email address and phone number for employer communication.
• Willing or have CNA License for Missouri
