Job summary

Seattle Medical Post Acute Care in Seattle, WA, is seeking a compassionate Activities Assistant to engage residents with meaningful programming and daily interaction.

You will coordinate group activities, provide one-to-one visits, and collaborate with nursing staff to support resident well-being while maintaining clean activity areas. Training and development opportunities are offered.

Responsibilities

• Implement group programming that promotes interaction between residents.
• Notify residents and staff of activity schedules.
• Provide one-to-one visits to offer friendly companionship, sensory stimulation, reality orientation, and tailored support per each resident’s Activity Plan.
• Communicate with nursing personnel to coordinate transportation to and from activity areas.
• Perform general housekeeping duties in Activity areas.

Job Summary

Essential Functions

• Implement group programming that promotes interaction between residents.
• Notifies residents and staff of activity schedules.
• Visits with residents on a one-to-one basis as directed by the Activities Director in order to provide:
• A friendly visitor.
• Sensory stimulation.
• Reality orientation.
• A means of meeting individual needs as outlined in each resident’s Activity Plan.
• Selects residents and communicates with nursing personnel for purpose of assistance in transporting residents to and from general activity areas.
• Responsible for general housekeeping duties in Activity areas
