Job summary

Evergreen Healthcare Group operates Seattle Medical Post Acute Care, seeking an Activities Assistant who is friendly, listens well, and communicates clearly to engage residents in meaningful interactions.

You will plan and lead group activities, coordinate schedules, and provide one-to-one visits to support residents’ social and cognitive wellbeing. This role requires collaboration with nursing staff and daily upkeep of activity spaces on site in Seattle, WA.

Responsibilities

• Implement group programming that promotes interaction between residents.
• Notify residents and staff of activity schedules.
• One-to-one visits to provide companionship, sensory stimulation, reality orientation, and activity support as per each plan.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to support transportation to activity areas.
• Maintain general housekeeping in Activity areas.

Job Summary:

Seattle Medical Post Acute Care is looking for someone who has a kind approach with the elderly, is a good listener, can build rapport easily, and has good communication skills. If you are interested in making a difference in our residents lives and can work collaboratively with others, we would love to have you apply for our Activities Assistant position and be apart of the Evergreen Healthcare Group family.

Essential Functions:

• Implement group programming that promotes interaction between residents.
• Notifies residents and staff of activity schedules.
• Visits with residents on a one-to-one basis as directed by the Activities Director in order to provide:
  • A friendly visitor.
  • Sensory stimulation.
  • Reality orientation.
  • A means of meeting individual needs as outlined in each resident’s Activity Plan.
• Selects residents and communicates with nursing personnel for purpose of assistance in transporting residents to and from general activity areas.
• Responsible for general housekeeping duties in Activity areas
