Job summary

Port Washington Post Acute in Bremerton, WA seeks an Activities Assistant to engage residents through individualized and group activities. You will plan, lead, and adapt activities, including visits and hands-on projects, to keep residents connected to their interests while maintaining a mobile, safe environment.

The role supports social dining, drills, and regulatory inspections, with comprehensive benefits and a warm, compassionate team culture. Weekend availability is required.

Activities Assistant | Port Washington Post Acute, Bremerton, WA | $17.13/hour - $19.00/hour

Bring joy, connection, and purpose to residents' everyday lives! We're looking for a warm, creative Activity Assistant to help our residents stay engaged, active, and connected to the things they love.

What You'll Do

• Help plan and lead individual and group activities tailored to each resident's interests, abilities, and cultural or religious preferences
• Bring activities to residents who are bed-bound or room-confined — music, reading, visits, and hands-on projects that reflect their lifelong interests
• Adapt activities on the spot using prompts, demonstrations, and hands-on assistance so every resident can participate at their own level
• Help build and post the activity calendar so residents always know what's coming up
• Keep activity spaces clean, organized, and homelike, and flag any safety or maintenance issues right away
• Support the social dining program and pitch in on fire/disaster drills to help keep residents safe
• Document participation and progress notes, and help prepare for state and federal inspections
