Job summary

Rainbow Health Care Community is seeking compassionate Activities Assistants for full-time roles with rotating 9am-5pm shifts. Weekends required.

Roles include assisting residents with daily activities, personal care, feeding, and mobility, while supporting the Activities Supervisor in delivering high-quality senior care. • Record temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and intake as directed, and communicate changes to nursing staff.

Hiring for Full-Time Openings:

• 9am-5pm- Rotating Schedule- 5 Days/Week

Essential Functions of

Activities Assistant:

• Answers signal lights and bells to determine resident needs
• Assist Activites Supervisor with daily activities and help to obtain supplies
• Assists residents with grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair and incontinence care
• Obtains food trays and assists residents with feeding
• Assists resident with range of motion exercises
• Provides for personal care and comfort
• Movement to wheelchair or activity areas
• Assists residents with ambulation for short distance in center
• Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates, and food and fluid intake and output, as directed
• Provides direct and indirect resident care services
• Meets the communication needs of resident and family
• Communicates to nursing team changes in residents clinical condition
• Performs other tasks as assigned

Qualifications of

Activities Assistant:

• High School diploma or general equivalency is preferred.
• Must pass a state-issued exam
• Candidates must maintain a working email address and phone number for employer communication.
• Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and facility staff
