Job summary

Hoyt Nursing & Rehab Centre seeks a part-time Activities Assistant to enhance daily patient engagement and enrichment in a caring environment. You will support groups and one-on-one activities, promoting hospitality with guests and families, and helping transport to programs.

The role emphasizes teamwork, interpersonal skills, and strong customer service to create a positive healing atmosphere. Associates in music or recreational therapy is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of related experience in long term care preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering Excellent, Passionate, Innovative care.
• Team player, dedicated to supporting your team and getting the job done.

Responsibilities

• Promote hospitality and excellent customer service in daily interactions with guests, families, and visitors.
• Assist and lead group and one-on-one life enrichment programs.
• Encourage attendance and transport to life enrichment programs.
• Evaluate patients based on background, interests, abilities, and needs for meaningful programs.
• Develop and display thematic and holiday decorations throughout the facility.
