Zusammenfassung

Hy-Vee is seeking Courteous Clerks to join our general department team. You will greet customers, bag purchases, and help transport items to their vehicle while keeping the store clean, stocked, and welcoming for all shoppers.

You will also assist in other areas as needed, train new colleagues, and maintain hygiene and store guidelines. This role keeps you active and engaged throughout shifts in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifikationen

• Ability to follow detailed written or verbal instructions and complete tasks with a few concrete variables.
• Perform simple addition and subtraction, copy figures, and count and record accurately.
• Understand and follow verbal or demonstrated directions and communicate supply needs orally or in writing.
• Work effectively as part of a team to keep the store clean and customers happy.

Aufgaben

• Greet customers with a smile and provide prompt, friendly service.
• Package purchases and assist customers in transporting them to their mode of transportation.
• Bring carts in from the parking lot and manage cart corrals throughout the shift.
• Clean registers, restrooms, break room, and backroom; sweep and mop floors as needed.
• Clean the can redemption area and empty recycle bins where applicable.
• Stock, face, and rotate merchandise; understand shelf tags and locate items in store/backroom.
• Pull product forward on shelves to maintain a full, organized appearance.
• Check prices on products as needed.
• Maintain front end supplies including bags, receipt paper, and other items.
• Help train new courtesy clerks.
• Deliver product to customers and assist in all departments as requested within wage/hour guidelines.
• Shovel, salt, and sand walkways as needed.
• Work with coworkers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
• Assist in other areas of the store as needed and take on special projects as assigned.
• Maintain strict adherence to personal hygiene, dress standards, and all Hy-Vee policies and store guidelines.
• Report to work when scheduled and on time.
